Balance in Interior Decorating
When people think about balance in interior decorating, symmetrical balance probably comes to mind first. This is when one side of a room mirrors the other side. Symmetrical balance provides calmness and stability but it can also be predictable.
Asymmetrical balance also referred to as informal balance gives visual weight to items. For example something that is big in size might be balanced by something that might be smaller but bolder in colour or pattern. It can create quite an interesting room design.
Both look great. Its whatever suits your style.
